In April, Arundel Castle hosts an annual tulip festival which makes for a stunning visitor attraction. The castle sits in 38 acres of landscaped grounds including walled gardens, parts of which were redesigned by Isabel and Julian Bannerman in 2007. Head gardener Martin Duncan has overseen the transformation of the gardens over the last 20 years, including the introduction of the annual tulip festival during which time, in the past 12 years, over 1.4 million bulbs have been planted.
