West Marches

A garden designed by Alice Meacham to link a contemporary ‘upside down’ house to its hillside setting in Lyme Regis. A series of tiered planting beds using oak sleepers as retaining walls define a dining terrace near the house which is sited on top of a garage below. Gravel paths and steps work through the beds up to the wilder hillside above, where there is a small orchard carpeted with bluebells.
