Double House, Bristol. Summer.

The small rear garden at Double House is still establishing following a recent redesign and rebuild using existing materials on site. When some collapsing outbuildings were demolished during the restoration of the house, several bricks and flagstones were saved and used for hard landscaping. This was possible because they had been built using lime mortar, which is easy to scrape off building materials. The planting is generally a modern cottage style. Crab apple and winter cherry trees have also been planted for winter interest.
