I have worked with magazine publishers for over 15 years now and have a good understanding of what editors and art editors are looking for. It is important for photographers to understand how their pictures are used in publishing because great pictures are not always useful pictures. Over the years I have learned the value of providing editors with a variety of compositions that include copy space and gutter space, whilst always focusing on the core goal of capturing the very best, eye-catching images. By taking this approach, I have amassed over 200 front cover publications, and countless double-page-spreads and feature openers. These are crucial images in any publication and it's worth getting them right.
I have also provided numerous complete word & picture packages on the subjects of outdoor pursuits and photography in the outdoors, for magazines such as Country Walking, BBC Countryfile and Outdoor Photography.

'We've just got the first colour proofs for the November issue with your Shapes In The Landscape piece and it looks superb; it's a really well written piece.' Steve Watkins, Editor of Outdoor Photography Magazine.
